International Court Asking for Army Chain of Command- Prsidient

Addressing his first election rally in Anuradhapura this evening, President Mahinda Rajapaksa said ‘Hague’ has asked about the chain of command of the Sri Lankan Armed forces. He said that this was a strong indication that some sections of the “international community” were trying to prosecute the heads of the Sri Lankan military establishments

President Rajapaksa stated that he will never let any of the members of the Armed Forces to be taken to the International Criminal Court in The Hague. He made this comment a short while ago at the inaugural rally of his presidential campaign for the forthcoming election at Salgadu Ground, Anuradhapura. “Sri Lankan government will not bow down for foreign interventions in the matter of the war victory,” Rajapaksa said while adding that he would not allow any foreign force to jeopardize the political stability of the country. The President’s speech was largely focused on claims of international conspiracies and war crimes charges against the Sri Lankan armed forces
