JHU will bring Corruption files under Maithri govt



Patali Champika Ranawaka stated  that the JHU also have thousands of files and  he will reveal information on corrupt deals  when the common opposition candidate Maithripala Sirisena comes to power.

Speaking at the ‘Satana’ political talk show  on Sirasa TV, he said that the country was being run by five elements ie , the casino cartel, ethanol cartel, heroin cartel, arsenic cartel and cigarette cartel.


Ranawaka said that the the government tried to throw a file at him charging there was a fraud in coal procurement but that would not dieter him from exposing corruption

 He pointed out that  the Kottawa-Pinnaduwa section of the Southern Highway construction was  initially estimated at  US $ 2.74 million per one kilo meter. “But the final cost was US $ 7.8 million per kilo meter. as a result the intrest rate has escalated and while the yearly income is Rs 1000 million while the debt and interest in Rs 6500 million. Therefore, people of Sri Lanka pay Rs 55 million per kilo meter of the road each year,” he added.
