Sri Lanka’s inflation rate slightly dips

The inflation rate has fallen to 61 percent in November 2022 from 66 percent in October.

Financial analysts said that interest rate hikes and allowing the US dollar to float around 360 have helped to control the inflation rate that has been continually rising for some time.
Food prices have been falling as indicated by the Colombo Consumer Price Index
Food prices fell 1.5 percent after falling 2.0 percent a month earlier. The sub-index containing gas fell 0.5r percent and transport fell 3.6 percent
