The Verité Research survey on the mood of the nation reveals that government approval has moved up, from 3% in June to  10 percent in October. Still, the majority are not satisfied with the country being governed.

The economic confidence score stands at -78 percent. In June it was -96 percent, whereas in January it was -83 percent.

The poll was conducted as a part of the syndicated survey instrument by Verité Research. This instrument also provides other organizations the opportunity to survey the sentiments of Sri Lanka. The poll is based on an island-wide nationally representative sample of responses from 1,018 Sri Lankan adults, conducted in October 2022
