The Saskia Fernando Gallery was founded in 2009 by Saskia Fernando, a Sri Lankan art historian and curator. Fernando is a passionate advocate for Sri Lankan art and has worked tirelessly to promote it on the international stage.

The gallery has a rich history and has exhibited the work of some of Sri Lanka’s most celebrated artists, including Chandraguptha Thenuwara, Jagath Weerasinghe, Saskia Pintelon, and Gayan Prageeth. The gallery has also participated in a number of international art fairs and exhibitions, including Frieze London, Art Basel Hong Kong, and the Colombo Art Biennale.

The gallery aims to present two exhibitions per month and continues with international collaborations and projects annually.
