Dappula’s conspiracy theory to be questioned in courts?

Reverend Father Cyril Gamini Fernando, spokesperson of the catholic church said that the church is in consultation with its lawyers to look at legal options to bring former Attorney General Dappula de Livera before the court.

He said that Dappula de Livera had claimed there was a conspiracy behind the Easter attacks and so that conspiracy must be revealed.

It is more than a year since the former Attorney General said Participating in a television talk show and since then and there has been no information on the ‘conspiracy’.

Although De Livera mentioned that there is evidence of a conspiracy the catholic church feels that the evidence has not been evaluated sufficiently.

Many Cases
Attorney General Dappula De Livera said there are many other cases connected to the 2019 April 21st Attacks that need to be looked at and they are;

01. 16th April 2019 motorcycle explosion in the Eastern Province (Kattankudy)

02. The Grand Conspiracy

03. The Sainthamaruthu Gun Battle and Explosion

04. Public Officers in the Defence and Police hierarchy who failed to prevent the attacks

05. PCoI recommendations on Former President Maithripala Sirisena and Former Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe.

“These matters need to be investigated and more evaluation needs to be done,” stressed the Attorney General highlighting that the probe is more complex than thought. Said Dappula De Livera. Dappula de Livera was offered a diplomatic posting in Canada just prior to retirement which he turned down, stating that his intention was to serve the people further while remaining in the country.
