Rupee is ranked third in terms of the depreciation

Professor Steve Hanke, Economics Professor at John Hopkins University points out that Sri Lanka’s rupee is ranked third, against the US dollar in terms of depreciation.

According to that report, the state of Zimbabwe holds the first position and the value of the Zimbabwean currency has depreciated by 73.33% against the US dollar.

Cuba has been ranked second on the list by the Cuban currency being depreciated by 57.65% against the US dollar while Sri Lanka fell to third place by Rupee being declined by 47.76%.

The Kuwaiti dinar is known as the strongest currency in the world, the Kuwaiti dinar or KWD was introduced in 1960 and was initially equivalent to one pound sterling.
