By Two prominent student activists have been detained for ninety days, very long detention issued in recent days.
Wasantha Mudalige and Hashan Gunathilake of the inter-university students federation have been detained with detention orders issued by the Defense Ministry
The police will have 90 days to question them.
Police had stated that IUSF convenor Wasantha Mudalige was arrested as there is a pending arrest warrant against him.
Public Security Ordinance
The Police said that denotation orders will be requested to arrest other student activists including, Ven. Galwewa Siridhamma Thera .
A gazette notification has been issued calling on all the members of the armed forces to maintain the Public Security Ordinance with effect from Monday (22).
