By A stern warning has been issued to government servants on expressing opinions on social media. Ministry of Public Administration Secretary M.M.P.K Mayadunne has made it clear in a communique that expressing opinions on social media by a public officer without following the provisions of the establishment code is a violation that could lead to disciplinary action. It would be the responsibility of the head of the institution to take action against employees who violate the establishment by posting unacceptable content on social media.
