Save the Sri Lankan Smile-tourism promotion launched

Among the many attractions in Sri Lanka, the friendly and hospitable smile of its people have been a great attraction to tourist.

The stakeholders of the tourism industry have come together to launch an innovative campaign.
The “Save the Sri Lankan Smile” campaign intends to trigger the revival of the industry.

The stakeholders of the industry believe that an emotional appeal to those who are in search of winter vacation destinations could bring around a speedy turnaround.

Commenting on the campaign, Minister of Tourism Harin Fernando said they are expecting over USD 1.7 billion in tourism revenue and over one million arrivals in 2022.

He said that many airlines like Swiss air, Asus air, Aeroflot from Russia, and Air France have added Colombo to their route network and this will help to boost tourism.
